Consumption recommendation

Intake recommendation:

One capsule daily. Since Rhodiola has a mild stimulant effect, it is best taken in the morning or during the first half of the day. For maximum effect, Rhodiola should be taken on an empty stomach. The recommended dosage should not be exceeded, as Rhodiola loses some of its desirable effects in excessive doses.

Notes

Since Rhodiola inhibits the enzyme CYP3A4 (1), which is responsible for the degradation of various drugs, the use of Yggdrasil in combination with medications should be discussed in advance with the attending physician, as it may be necessary to adjust the drug dosage. Since the effects of Rhodiola Rosea in pregnant and breastfeeding women have not yet been adequately studied, this group of people should not use Rhodiola Rosea as a precaution.

Rose root is an herb found primarily in the colder, mountainous areas of Europe and Asia. It is one of the adaptogens and can help the body to better adapt to stressful stimuli. The root contains over 140 active ingredients and has been used for thousands of years in the traditional medicine of many cultures. Numerous studies show that the benefits of regular use can be mind-boggling (1,2,4).

Rhodiola Rosea was able to help experimental groups cope better with mental and physical stress by restoring balance to the body's stress response systems (1,2). It helped reduce fatigue in the study setting and was able to counteract physical and mental exhaustion (3). In addition, there are studies linking rose root to improved mental performance (5). One such study even concluded that taking rose root extract could improve participants' reaction time and speed (6). Numerous scientific studies also showed that Rhodiola Rosea extracts have a pronounced antioxidant effect due to their salidroside content. This effect is due to the fact that it activates the activity of a number of the most important antioxidant enzymes in the human body (7).

Even when dieting, the intake of Rhodiola could be supportive. One of the mechanisms that may play a role in reducing appetite is the increase in brain serotonin levels caused by Rhodiola Rosea. This is triggered by inhibition of monamine oxidase (8). An increase in serotonin levels was not only associated with a better sense of well-being in one study. A faster onset of satiety and a reduction in appetite were also observed in the test group (9). In addition, studies done on the influence of rhodiola on cortisol levels suggest that regular intake could significantly reduce exercise-induced cortisol release (10,11). This, in turn, could potentially result in a pronounced anti-catabolic, muscle-protective effect during a fat loss diet. It could also result in accelerated muscle growth during the bulking phase.

Unfortunately, many Rhodiola supplements run the risk of being underdosed, not containing the claimed active ingredient, or having deficiencies in quality and purity. In addition, always check the label before purchasing to ensure that a standardized amount of 3% rosavins is included in the product. This corresponds to the naturally occurring proportions in Rhodiola root. At Yggdrasil, you can be sure that we use a Rhodiola Rosea extract standardized to 3% rosvarin. This was also used in 94% of all scientific human studies.

In summary, Rhodiola Rosea can bring a whole range of benefits. Just about everyone can benefit from these advantages in our stressful and fast-paced world. So what are you waiting for, Yggdrasil can give you peace of mind too.
