The Natja Barnova brand was launched by former Danish bikini fitness champion and online trainer Natja Barnova. This was a reaction to her bad experiences with the training bands for the development of legs, abdomen and buttocks (booty) available on the market until then, which often slipped or tore and became brittle over time. The company founder's many years of practical training experience as a fitness model were incorporated into the development of the brand's products, resulting in a range of training equipment for women that includes different variants of training bands (booty bands), equipment for training for a slim waist such as the Natja Barnova V-Shape Waist Trainer, lifting straps and similar products.

Natja Barnova's products are mostly designed for training at home without weights and other expensive equipment.
